A ROAD is partially blocked and causing three mile queues after a crash involving two cars.
The incident was first reported at 8.35am this morning on the A23 southbound by the Pyecombe turn off, north of Brighton.
Queues are currently three miles long stretching back to Hurstpierpoint with travel time around 36 minutes through the area. The average speed through the area is 5mph and delays are said to be increasing.
There were no serious injuries. Recovery of the cars is being arranged.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called around 8.35am to reports of a two car collision on the A23 southbound at Pyecombe.
"No serious injuries have been reported. The road is partially blocked while recovery of the vehicles is arranged."
The road was cleared around 10.15am.
