WHERE did people walk their dogs before Waterhall ceased being a golf course?

Those places still exist, therefore it is no excuse to claim that Waterhall is the only place dogs can run free.

It is a superb idea that cattle and sheep should be able to graze in this area, not only to bring back the missing diverse wildlife but restore the ecology, which is badly needed in this day and age.

Unfortunately there are far too many selfish and seemingly blind (to notices) dog owners, as well as the scourge of our lives as a volunteer group, in green areas, the dog walkers.

To be able to manage six to eight dogs at a time, on or off a lead, is impossible, not to mention the fact that it is very clear that they fail to clear up the faeces left behind, with the inevitable results.

Dog walkers should be licensed, registered and limited to four dogs per person. It is after all a lucrative business.
