EMERGENCY services were called to a fire at a ground floor flat along the seafront.

Two fire engines from Eastbourne and one from Hailsham were spotted at the scene yesterday evening around 7pm in South Cliff in Eastbourne.

Two people were seen by the ambulance service after the blaze.

Pictures from the incident show fire crews, with some equipping a hose from one of the fire engines.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue have been contacted for comment.
