SWANKY cocktail bar and restaurant Bohemia is celebrating a decade of delightful drinks and decadent dishes.

The venue, in Meeting House Lane, Brighton, is marking ten years since it opened and began pioneering “smoking molecular cocktails”, which have since won awards.

Owners Paul and Verity Craig, from Brighton, have owned many successful restaurants, including Horsham’s Wab.

They will now be celebrating Bohemia’s milestone birthday with a huge VIP bash.

“We are proud to have reached this milestone at Bohemia, especially after a couple of challenging years,” said Verity.

“We always intended for Bohemia to be a place where people could feel special, dress up and have fun. And hopefully, that’s what we still deliver today.

“Over the past decade, the quest for us as owners has always remained the same - to keep quality at the heart of Bohemia for our customers.”

Celebrations will see a VIP event in Bohemia's upstairs area from 8pm, joining the party for the public in the main bar from 10pm.

Owner Paul is coming out from DJ retirement for one night as entertainment, with guests greeted by “Vegas feather girls”.

Bohemia is expected to welcome players for Brighton and Hove Albion to the event, as well as cast members of E4’s Made in Chelsea, and high-profile business people.

It comes as the UK hospitality sector saw an overall loss of £114 billion in revenue since March 2020, with businesses now calling for the government to maintain a 12.5 per cent VAT.

However, bars and restaurants remain hopeful they can recuperate some of the revenue, which was lost due to the global pandemic.

Verity said “It’s no secret that the pandemic particularly affected the hospitality industry detrimentally. Thankfully though, Bohemia has come out triumphantly.

“Our loyal customers came back after the lockdowns, which is so lovely to have seen. After each period of having an eerily closed business, you do wonder ‘will people return?’ ‘Will we still see those old regular faces?’

“But thankfully, it has been so nice to see them all again. And life does seem to have returned to normal.”
