AN ENTREPRENEUR is launching a new awards event to honour International Women’s Day.
Brighton businessman Michael Thompson, chief executive of lingerie brand Pour Moi, has today announced his company’s new initiative: The Pour Moi Uplifting Women Awards.
There will be prizes for five categories, including charity champion, activist achiever and innovator in business, as the brand aims to recognise “inspiration and incredible women”.
“We are so excited to launch The Pour Moi Uplifting Women Awards,” said Michael.
“The last few years have been tough for everyone, and we are eager to start something that recognises the achievements of the UK’s fierce and inspiring women.
“We are proud to have created these awards which celebrate their amazing successes, accomplishments and their everyday fabulousness.”
Deciding on the winner of each award will be a panel of VIP judges, all of whom Pour Moi says have excelled in the worlds of business, entertainment and campaigning.
They include cancer survivor and Love Island star Demi Jones, disability campaigner Sandie Roberts, and business mogul and former Dragons' Den investor Sarah Willingham.
