I WAS disgusted to see today's Argus headline “Car tyres let down - climate activists target vehicles parked in streets”.

Let’s call these idiots what they really are - vandals.

It may not have come to their notice but not everyone can “walk, cycle or use public transport”.

I am guessing these people have no problem walking and cycling and please remember that using public transport inevitably requires some walking.

I wonder how they will feel when they are old or infirm. Without a car, I and many like me, would be virtually housebound.

And what exactly do these people expect a young parent with babies who need to take an older sibling to school, or to go shopping, to do?

Finally, may I suggest to all these so called eco warriors - if you want to save the world from global warming, you might consider targeting your activities where it would really make a difference instead of picking on individuals who are trying to get on with their lives in these incredibly difficult times.

Why not go and demonstrate in a country that is really causing a problem? See how well you’d get on in, say, China for instance.
