POLICE are concerned for the welfare of a child after it was seen leaving a car after a serious crash.

The incident happened in Water Lane in Angmering, near Littlehampton, in the early hours of Friday, March 11.

A silver Vauxhall sustained “significant damage” in the crash, according to Arun Police.

“We are concerned for the welfare of a male and young child seen leaving the car,” a police spokesman said.

Police officers, a police dog and a drone unit attended the scene but were unable to locate the man and the child.

Police are now appealing for information in relation to the crash.
