A MOTHER who began delivering food and parcels to make extra cash has quit her job after discovering she can earn £1,000 a week.

Atlanta Martin, from Worthing, was working as a flight dispatcher at Gatwick Airport when she decided she needed a new influx of cash while on maternity leave.

The 21-year-old took up delivery driving as it fitted well around her current employment hours.

But after realising her second job was more lucrative than first thought, she ended up quitting her airport job after two years of delivery work.

Atlanta says she can now make up to £1,000 a week by working 11-hour days – a lifestyle which has funded a recent trip to Disney World in Florida.

The mother-of-one said: “I'm really happy I made the decision to do this job full time.

"With delivering, I can choose my own hours, work as much as I wish too and earn the same money or more.

"It was a risk as delivering is self-employed and the money is not guaranteed, but I have no regrets and it is working really well.”

After three and a half years as a flight dispatcher, she made the choice to leave the job after videos of her delivery work began to gain traction.

“I decided to leave my full time job so I could pursue delivering and growing my social media channels,” she said.

Since then, Atlanta has been delivering in her car for Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Beelivery.

Starting as early as 7am, she works until as late as 10.30pm – often picking up around 50 deliveries a day.

Between February 14 and February 21 alone, she earned £542.70 from Just Eat, £126.86 from UberEats, £306.16 from Deliveroo and £52.55 from Beelivery, as well as £15 in cash tips.

This meant she made a total of £968.96 in a single week.

Her boyfriend Benjamin Hasker, 35, also works as a delivery driver, as well as a magician and in Punch and Judy shows.

Atlanta says has no plans to return to the airline industry and is thrilled with her new career choice.

"It's not guaranteed to be £1,000 every week - the more hours you put in, the more you earn,” she said.

"Thanks to my hard work earning this amount of money, myself, my daughter and my partner all went to Disney World, Florida, for two weeks in December 2021 - this was my daughter's first ever holiday.

"I have already bought two cars outright in the time that I have been delivering for work.

"I haven't bought anything for my daughter's third birthday yet as it is in June, but we are planning to go to London for the weekend for a trip to London Zoo.

"I'm really happy I chose to pursue this as a full time career. It was a risk, but I have no regrets.”
