A GOODS vehicle driver has been fined for having a tyre tread depth too low.
Eduard-Catalin Munteanu has been ordered to pay a total of £574 by Brighton magistrates after he was caught driving a goods vehicle with tyres with less than 1.6mm depth of tread on the A21 at Johns Cross.
The incident happened on July 13, 2021.
The 45-year-old was fined £440 and given three points on his licence.
Munteanu, of Stratford Road, Birmingham, will also have to pay £90 in court costs and a surcharge of £44 to fund victim services.
