THREE donkeys caused traffic disruption after getting loose on a busy road.

Police were called after reports of the group of donkeys on a road in Chichester.

Officers attended the scene, and with help from local residents, were able to get the animals off the road.

A Chichester Police spokesman said: “Last night, officers attended a report of three donkeys on a fast road in Chichester

“Local residents worked with officers taking the donkeys to a place of safety.

“After this, officers located a missing person in Chichester.”

The incident happened on Sunday, March 13.

On the same day, officers from Chichester Police attended Chichester College to offer free bike marking to students and teachers.

“Don't worry if you can make it down, we will be hosting more of these events around the area in the coming months,” a spokesman said.
