POLICE are looking to identify a man in connection with a theft from a charity shop.

A man entered a charity shop in St Leonards Road, Bexhill, before distracting a staff member and entering the staff room.

He stole a purse before walking off.

A number of credit cards were inside the purse, which were then used to make purchases at nearby shops, according to police.

Police want to interview the man pictured in relation to the theft, which happened between 1.30pm and 2pm on Friday, February 11.

The man is white, about 6ft and was wearing a ck baseball style cap, a black scarf/face covering and a large dark coat.

He was also carrying a M&S cloth style bag.

“Officers are hopeful that local people will be able to help identify this man,” a police spokesman said.
