MUSICIANS ArrDee and Sam Tompkins are on track to land their first ever top ten albums this week.

The stars, who were both born in Brighton, are in a strong position in the Official Albums Chart, according to the Official Chart Company’s midweek update.

ArrDee’s debut mixtape Pier Pressure is currently at number four.

It features hit singles War featuring Aitch, Oliver twist and Flowers (Say My Name).

All of the music videos for the tracks on the album were filmed at locations across Brighton, Hove and Peacehaven.

Singer-songwriter Sam Tompkins’ EP Who Do You Pray To? is currently at number six.

Earlier this week, the star performed and signed copies of his debut album at record store Resident in Kensington Gardens, Brighton.

Sam, who used to busk in the city, shot to fame last year after Justin Bieber gave him a shoutout for his music.

Justin encouraged his 188 million followers to listen to Sam's single (W)hole.

Speaking before the album’s release, Sam said: “In under 24 hours, the project I have been working on for what feels like the entirety of my existence will be out and able to be listened to by all of you.

“Every single lyric is so purposeful and honest. I couldn’t be prouder. I feel so, so ready now. Not nervous at all.”

Charli XCX looks set to land her first ever UK number one album this week with her fifth studio record Crash.

The album is the English singer-songwriter’s final release under her current major label contract with Atlantic Records.

Charli found fame in 2012 with the Icona Pop collaboration I Love It, which hit number one on the official UK singles chart and became an international success.

Indie rock band Sea Girls are currently at number two and aiming for their highest peak in the UK yet with their second album, Homesick.

Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards is also within reach of a re-entry as his second solo album Main Offender is currently at number 35 following the release of a special 30th anniversary boxset.
