ONE lane of the M23 has been closed after a car burst into flames.
There are long delays on the northbound motorway at Junction 9, near Gatwick Airport, as recovery crews work to remove the stricken vehicle.

According to an AA traffic report, lane one of the motorway remains closed.
A spokesman said: "Lane one [of two] remains closed on the slip road up to the roundabout."
