A TRESPASSER on the train tracks is causing railway delays.
Southern Rail said the incident has caused a safety issue in the Falmer area.
As a result, trains will be forced to run at a reduced speed.
At 6.27pm, a Southern Rail spokeswoman said British Transport Police had arrived on site.
“We have been advised of a trespassing incident in the Falmer area,” the spokeswoman said.
“In the interest of safety, trains will run at a reduced speed.
“Journeys between Brighton and Lewes will be delayed whilst the individual is met.
“You can still use your normal route for the time being, but we will let you know if this changes.”
