POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two officers were injured in a five-vehicle crash during a pursuit.

All three lanes of the M23 were closed northbound on Saturday, March 26, following the crash between Junction 10 A264 Copthorne Way (Crawley) and the M25 interchange.

Officers pursued the vehicle, a black Audi, which was travelling at an excessive speed, according to police.

Five vehicles were then involved in a crash on the M23, including two police cars who were not part of the pursuit.
