TWO people were arrested after a fight in a café this afternoon.

A 42-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy both remain in police custody following the altercation in Clinton Place, Seaford.

Several police cars could be seen on the A259 Sutton Road in Seaford with a police cordon stretching around 30 metres down the high street.

The “altercation” happened around 1pm at the café.

Drops of blood could be seen both inside and outside the police cordon where several officers were in attendance.

One passerby said someone was pushed into the café window.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police responded to a report of an altercation at a premises in Clinton Place, Seaford, shortly after 1pm on Tuesday, March 29.

“Officers from the Lewes District Response team arrested a 42-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy. Both remain in custody at this time.

“Witnesses or anyone with relevant footage is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or call 101 and quote serial 581 of 29/03.”
