A man has gone on trial accused of rape in an historic sex abuse case.
Roger Robinson, 69, of Beachy Road, Crawley, is facing 16 counts of rape and four counts of indecent assault. He denies the charges.
Rowan Jenkins, prosecuting, has told the jury at Hove Crown Court the offences against the girl are alleged to have taken place over an eight year period.
The trial, before Her Honour Judge Shani Barnes, continues.
