A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a crash involving one car this morning.

The single-vehicle collision happened shortly after 6.30am this morning on the A24 Worthing Road, close to the village of Dial Post, near Horsham.

The road was closed for around an hour while emergency services attended the incident and for recovery of the car.

The road reopened around 8am.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to the A24 Worthing Road near Dial Post shortly after 6.30am on Saturday (April 2) to reports of a single-vehicle collision in the northbound carriageway.

“One woman was taken to hospital.

“The road was closed temporarily to allow emergency services to respond to the incident, and for recovery of the vehicle to be arranged. It has since reopened."
