TODAY is the first day of a special offer which allows children to travel free on buses in the city every weekend in April.
The Brighton and Hove Buses scheme is encouraging children to “get out and about” over the Easter period.
The company is offering free travel for children under 16 when accompanied by a fare paying adult every weekend and bank holiday in April.
The valid dates are April 2 and 3, April 9 and 10, April 15 to April 18, April 23 and 24, as well as April 30 and May 1.
A spokeswoman for Brighton and Hove Buses said: “Whether you’re visiting the countryside, enjoying the amusements at Brighton Pier or watching the newest release at the cinema.
“We want to make those day's out even more special by giving your kids free travel, when accompanied by a fare paying adult, every weekend and bank holiday in April.
“We also know that driving into town for those activities can be stressful. There are queues for car parks and little in the way of parking spaces not to mention the cost of parking. So let us take the strain this year and hop on a bus with your family.
“You can travel with up to three children aged under 16 or busID holders when accompanied by a fare paying adult. What's more you'll be doing your bit for the environment too.”
