A MAN has died in a crash on the A21.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash in Robertsbridge in the early hours of Wednesday, April 6.

A 19-year-old man from Essex, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

Two 20-year-old men from London were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Both remain in police custody.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man was also airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while a third man, aged 19, was taken to hospital by the ambulance service in a serious condition.

Police were called to the scene of the crash on the A21 at Silverhill at 1.35am following reports of a car having left the carriageway.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the single-vehicle crash.
