The tree blocked both sides of the A273
A ROAD has been closed after both sides were blocked by a fallen tree.
The incident happened on the A273 London Road near Hassocks.
The road is closed from the B2036 London Road to Little Copse Road.
Pictures from the scene show the tree a police vehicle blocking the road, with a tree strewn across both lanes.
Sussex Police initially closed the road this afternoon around 2.30pm and said they handed the incident over to National Highways.
