FIREFIGHTERS have been fighting to extinguish a blaze at a derelict building.
Fire crews were called to Lewes Road in Uckfield at around 2.30pm to the fire, which is affecting two floors of the property.
Pictures from the scene show several fire engines and other vehicles at the scene, with firefighters tackling the blaze with two main jets and two hydrants.
Part of the building appears to be missing its roof, with scorch marks along the side of the property.
Firefighters were also seen with breathing apparatus as they fought the fire.
Sussex Police have closed the road and people have been urged to avoid the area.
Traffic is being diverted via the A22.
