I CAME across an old copy of The Argus, where the Picture of the day was "Starlings at sunset over Worthing Pier "by Janet Levett.

I wonder if you could correct the caption, as the birds in the picture are not starlings but pigeons?

Worthing is full of pigeons.

Apart from people throwing part of their sandwiches to them while sitting and eating, irresponsible pigeon feeders or IPF take bags of food into Beach House Park for the pigeons.

Hundreds of pigeons gather in a morning to be fed.

If you say anything to the IPF, they tell you to go away and threaten to spit in your face.

The police have been informed, but what can they do?

I also heard last week that, sadly, that a friend's brother and son had died from an asthma attack.

Unfortunately, they are not the first adult or child to die from breathing problems in Worthing.

Warning: Don’t come to Worthing if you have breathing problems.

It’s the pigeons and their poo. Don’t walk through it, you will raise the dust levels.

And another warning: Don’t come to Worthing if you don’t like pigeons.

And if walking through Worthing . . . take a tissue with you!
