A MAN has been fined and given points on his licence for driving backwards on a motorway.
Kayode Shosinde has been ordered to pay a total of £648 by Brighton magistrates after being caught driving backwards on the M23 in Crawley on August 18 last year.
The 45-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence, as well as a charge of driving without a valid test certificate.
He was fined £508 and given six points on his licence.
Shosinde, of Hooks Close, London, will also have to pay £90 in court costs and a surcharge of £50 to fund victim services.
