BEACH House Park has for many years been my sanctuary. No matter what's going on in my life I find it all disappears when I sit in that park.
I've been feeding the pigeons there for the past ten years. Over that time I've met many nice people. Some less so. Friendly, but generally lovely people of all ages that I am blessed to have encountered.
It feels so appropriate feeding wild birds in that park, as in the centre is a war memorial for pigeons called “Warrior Birds”. They are beautiful creatures. Sometimes a nuisance, but never the less, beautiful. Families come to that park to feed them, small children hand feed them. It is an asset to our local community.
We need to look after our wildlife. I'm about to move away from Worthing as I have bought a property elsewhere, but what a pleasure it has been.
I hope that like-minded individuals continue to look after our local wildlife. You know who you are! It can't all be luxury flats, designer dogs and restaurants. People need greenery and wildlife. It is good for the soul!
