THERE will be no trains running to and from London Victoria this bank holiday weekend as works continue.

Upgrades to tracks and signalling on the lines into London Victoria mean there will be no Southern trains into or from the station this weekend.

Line closures are set to go ahead on various weekends until July.

Passengers going into London will need to get a train to London Bridge, which will be running to an amended timetable.

There will be a limited rail replacement bus service between East Croydon and Clapham Junction, but no trains will be running between Clapham Junction and Victoria.

Trains to and from Brighton, Eastbourne, Ore, Portsmouth Harbour, Southampton Central, Littlehampton and East Grinstead will be diverted to operate to and from London Bridge, running to an amended timetable with some extended journey times.

Trains to and from the Horsham/Dorking route will run to and from London Bridge, running non-stop between Mitcham Eastfields and London Bridge.

Planned line closures are also scheduled for these dates:

  • Sunday, May 1, to Monday, May 2 (May Bank Holiday)
  • Saturday, May 21, to Sunday, May 22
