SUNSEEKERS packed Brighton's beaches today, the hottest of the year so far.

And the good weather is set to continue throughout the Easter break.

The Met Office has predicted a weekend of warm sunny weather.

The weather has been hotting up since Wednesday and the thermometer hit 22C in London.

It is mostly dry in the South East and is expected to remain that way, with temperatures reaching highs of 17C today in Brighton.

Tomorrow it will also be dry and warm, though it will become breezy later along the coast.

It will continue to be dry but the sunshine will peter out towards the middle of the week.

Meterologist Greg Dewhurst said: “There will be plenty of dry weather around through the weekend itself.

“Temperatures are well above average for the time of year, reaching 22, possibly 23 celsius making it the warmest day of the year in 2022.”
