THESE pictures show hundreds of people enjoying the bank holiday sunshine.
People from across Sussex are making the most of the bank holiday by enjoying the good weather.
Pictures taken on Worthing beach show crowds of people walking along the seafront as temperatures soar.
Many took the opportunity to exercise while others basked in the sun's rays on the beach – with temperatures reaching 17C.
Met Office forecasters have said the warm weather Sussex enjoyed yesterday is expected to continue.
The mercury hit 23.4C (74.1F) in St James’s Park in central London on Good Friday afternoon, making it hotter than California, with the rest of the warm weather being concentrated in the south east.

Simon Partridge, Met Office forecaster, said: “It’s a little bit warmer more widely today than it was yesterday.
“We are expecting the weather to be warmer than Greece. Greece looks like it is going to reach 18C or 19C while Turkey is going to reach 21C on Saturday, so we’ll be warmer than Greece, Turkey and southern Italy.
“Friday and Saturday are the warmest days of the weekend, Sunday is expected to be cooler.”
Easter Sunday is expected to remain dry with temperatures falling to 19C (66.2F) and lower across England and Wales.
