A WOMAN has been arrested after a car crashed into a parked taxi before flipping on its side on the A259.

Police were called to the scene of the collision along Kingsway in Hove, near the junction with Roman Road, at 4.11pm on April 13.

Eyewitness Jason Frost said he was walking down the road when he “saw and heard a massive crash”.

“I saw the Range Rover flip onto its side and I quickly rushed over, and there was a woman trapped in the driver’s seat,” he said.

The 51-year-old woman was arrested and taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

She was further arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, and has been released pending further enquiries.

A driver in the parked vehicle sustained minor injuries.
