A POWER cut is affecting properties across the city this morning.
UK Power Networks said three postcodes in Brighton and Hove are currently being affected by power outages.
The postcodes are as follows:
• BN1 5
• BN1 6
• BN1 8
The company, which is responsible for maintaining the electricity cables in the South East of England, said 69 customers are currently being affected.
It estimates that power will return for most customers between 1pm and 2pm today.
A spokesman said the outage is due to an underground cable fault.
He said: “An underground electricity cable faulted on our high voltage network, causing an area wide power cut.”
