A NEW selection of homes have gone on sale at a development following delays due to uncertainty over a by-pass.

The homes have been released for sale at a Linden Homes development in the village of Walberton.

A selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes are now available to reserve at Linden Homes’ Avisford Grange, off Yapton Lane.

The development was initially launched in 2020, however progress was delayed for 15 months due to uncertainty over access to the site relating to plans for the new A27 Arundel Bypass.

The Vistry Group, which owns the housebuilder, suspended work on the site in October 2020 to assess the situation, but since then, Highways England has now confirmed that potential future construction of the bypass will not affect access to the development.

The Argus:

Linden Homes is delivering 175 new homes at the 28-acre site, including 123 private homes and 52 affordable properties for local people through rent or shared ownership.

Ginny James, sales and marketing director for Vistry South East, said: “Some of the first properties have already been snapped up and reserved by eager buyers and we are looking forward to welcoming our first residents into their new homes in June.

“We are now able to invite visitors onto the site where we have opened the doors to two showhomes and a sales office.”

Avisford Grange will feature two tennis courts, children’s play areas, public open spaces, allotments and a community orchard.

Ginny said: “This is proving to be a very popular development and we have been inundated with inquiries about the properties from local people.

“This is perhaps because people who already live in the area know how fabulous this location is.

“Avisford Grange itself sits in the picturesque village of Walberton, which is right on the edge of the South Downs National Park.

“The village has a strong sense of community and a range of amenities including a primary school, pre-school provision and a pub.

“The market town of Arundel is just four miles away with the cathedral city of Chichester eight miles away.

“The south coast at Climping is just four miles away, while the large sandy beach at West Wittering, which has Blue Flag status, is just half an hour’s drive from home.”

There is currently a choice of three and four-bedroom homes available to reserve at Avisford Grange, with prices starting at £400,000.
