A SERIES of Brighton locations has been spotted in the trailer for the second season of Grace.
Ahead of the release of the new series of the ITV show, a one-minute teaser has been released.
Comprised of four feature-length films, the new series will return to ITV on Sunday, April 24, at 8pm.
In the action-packed trailer, a number of locations around Sussex can be seen including Brighton beach, Devil’s Dyke and Shoreham port.
Brighton beach
The trailer begins with a swooping shot of Brighton beach over the West Pier in Brighton.
John Simm, who plays Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, can be seen standing on the pebbles.
Brighton Palace Pier
After a nighttime ariel view of Brighton beach, a dramatic shot of Brighton Palace Pier appears.
The pier has its lights illuminated before quickly cutting away to a shot of Detective Superintendent Roy Grace.
Devil’s Dyke
About a dozen police officers in forensic outfits are also shown on Devil’s Dyke.
A cordoned-off area appears to be being searched by Roy Grace and the group of officers.
Regency Square
Also in the trailer is a quick shot of Roy Grace opening a car boot in what appears to be Regency Square in Brighton.
Shoreham Port
A clip of two people inside Shoreham Port also appears in the advert.
During the filming at the port in November last year, the Duchess of Cornwall attended the set.
Grace is an adaption of Sussex author Peter James’s international bestselling books, which have sold 21 million copies worldwide.
While the first series focused on crime, the second introduces the prospect of romance – which is hinted at in the trailer.
In a recent interview, Simm said he recalls the characters getting “a bit flirty over lots of corpses”, describing it as “a good way to start” any romance.
“We have a lot of other things to look forward to in Grace’s journey – with his wife, Sandy, and meeting Cleo and their love match coming together,” he said. “So there’s lots in store besides the wonderful gripping stories of the week from Peter’s Books.”
