TRAINS are delayed in both directions due to a track failure.

Passengers travelling between Brighton and Lewes are expected to experience wait times of up to 30 minutes this morning.

A spokesman for Southern said: “Trains are being delayed between Brighton and Lewes, in both directions.

“This is due to a track circuit failure in the Falmer area.

“The route between Brighton and Lewes is still open, but journeys are taking 15-30 minutes longer than usual.

“You'll want to allow for some extra time to reach your destination, and we recommend checking ahead.

“You can use your ticket, at no extra cost, on Brighton and Hove Buses between Brighton, Lewes, Seaford and Eastbourne.”
