Public consultation opens on new cycling, walking and bus schemes
MEMBERS of the public are being asked to give their thoughts on possible cycling, walking and bus schemes.
The joint proposals by West Sussex County Council and Horsham District Council, aim to provide safer journeys to and from The Forest School in Horsham.
Those interested can see the designs on display at the school between 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, May 11. An online survey is also available.
The proposals comprise of two separate elements:
- Cycling and walking improvements: The reconfiguration of the junction where Bennetts Road meets Comptons Lane. A cycle track will be provided leading up to the school’s entrance.
- Bus improvements: to provide a new bus lay-by outside The Forest School, the scheme will help address safety concerns raised by the school and help alleviate congestion.
