Man fined hundreds of pounds for driving faulty tyres in Plumpton
A MAN has been fined hundreds of pounds for driving with a tyre with the ply exposed.
Darren Collar has been ordered to pay a total of £574 by Brighton magistrates for driving while his front nearside pneumatic tyre had the ply exposed, on the B2112 Ditchling Road in Plumpton on September 14, 2021.
The 46-year-old, of Stonegate Close, Eastbourne, was fined £440 and given three points on his licence in a single justice procedure.
He will also have to pay £90 in court costs and a surcharge of £44 to fund victim services.
