A MAN has been taken to hospital following a collision between a lorry and a car. 

Emergency services were called to the crash on the A27 at Hangleton, Hove, at around 5.15am. 

One man was taken to hospital with an arm injury. 

A lane of the westbound carriageway was closed into the morning while the vehicles were recovered.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Emergency services were called to a collision between two vehicles on the A27 near Hangleton at around 5.15am on Thursday, April 28. 

“One man was taken to hospital by the ambulance service with an arm injury. 

“One lane of the westbound carriageway was closed while the vehicles were recovered and full circumstances established. 

“The road has now reopened.”
