A CYCLIST has been fined for riding through a red light.

Sussex Roads Police issued a fixed penalty notice to the rider in Shoreham on Wednesday, April 27.

Police dashcam footage shows the cyclist approaching a red light with pedestrians crossing the road.

The cyclist then rides through the red light and continues down the road.

A spokesman from Sussex Roads Police said: ““We followed this cyclist through Shoreham and observed him contravening a red traffic light.

“We stopped him further down the road and issued him with a fixed penalty notice.

“Red lights apply to all road users.”
