A PERSON has been hit by a train, a railway company has confirmed.
All train lines are blocked between Worthing and Hove following the incident.
At 4.56pm, a Southern Rail spokesman said: “It is with great sadness that we report a person has been hit by a train between Worthing and Hove.
“All lines are blocked between these stations whilst the emergency services work to deal with this incident.
“Our control teams have requested rail replacement buses to run from Worthing/Hove, but these have not yet been confirmed.”

All lines are blocked between these stations whilst the emergency services work to deal with this incident.

Tickets will be accepted on Brighton and Hove Buses between Brighton and Shoreham, Stagecoach Route 700 and South Western Railway trains between Portsmouth Harbour, Southampton Central and London Waterloo.
“You will want to allow up to 60 extra minutes to complete your journey between Worthing and Hove this afternoon and into this evening,” the Southern Rail spokesman added.
“If you are currently on a train which has come to a stand, please listen out for onboard announcements or get in touch directly.”
Last week, a person was hit by a train between Worthing and Littlehampton.
