THESE pictures show Albion’s sell-out crowd during their 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United.
The win took Brighton to 47 points in the Premier League, six points better off than their total last season. It was a record attendance at the Amex of 31,637.
Graham Potter’s side took control of the match against the visitors who looked second best for the whole game.
Moises Caicedo bagged his first Albion goal to put Brighton ahead just 15 minutes in with a low drive into the near post from the edge of the area.
Welbeck could have made it two after Varane’s error when dealing with a lofted ball over the top, but the former United striker’s chipped effort went well wide. Albion went into the break 1-0 up.
It would only take four minutes for Albion to double their lead. Marc Cucurella got his first ever Brighton goal for Brighton after firing a shot into the roof of the net.
The Spaniard even appeared to shed tears as he scored his first goal in English football.
Just eight minutes later Pascal Gross capped off a lovely move which saw him place a precise shot past David De Gea into the far corner from inside the box to make it 3-0.
Sanchez had to be on his toes and made a number of a good saves to maintain his clean sheet.
Trossard got Albion’s fourth just three minutes later from close range to keep up his strong run of form.
It was truly a night to remember at the Amex and one that is sure to go down in the history books.
