It ventured by Preston Park before ending on Madeira Drive in Brighton.

Pictures from the event, which is organised by the Historic Commercial Vehicle Society (HCVS), show dozens of vans, lorries, buses, buses, military, and steam vehicles on the seafront.

Drivers could be seen waving to spectators who came out in their hundreds to view the historic vehicles throughout the day.

Both participants and visitors were able to enjoy the late Spring sunshine and high temperatures.

Children and parents watched eagerly from the pavement, keen to catch a glimpse of the beautiful cars.

The event proved to be a real family occasion with many cars filled with several generations.

This year’s run also saw a recreation of the largest steam haul to ever take part i the event.

A huge transformer was hauled by three traction engines along the A23.

The London to Brighton run is the most well known event held by the HCVS.

The HCVS was the first commercial vehicle club to be formed in the 1958.

It is the largest organisation for historic van, lorries, buses, military and steam vehicles in the country.

The society’s next event will be the Trans Pennine Run from Manchester to Harrogate on August 7.
