A MAN has been ordered to pay nearly £200 after assaulting a police officer.
Jamie Stuart Funnell, 43, of Walmer Crescent, Brighton, was found guilty of assaulting the officer in Brighton on September 1, 2019.
He had pleaded not guilty at Brighton magistrates court on May 24, 2021 but was convicted on March 1 this year.
Funnell was fined £100 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95.
He was also ordered to comply with the instructions of a six-month drug rehabilitation order before March 27, 2023.
An offence of failing without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Brighton magistrates court on May 10, 2021, was withdrawn.
