A WOMAN who destroyed a bathroom window has been ordered to pay more than £100 in compensation.
Kelly Joanna Pragnell, 37, of Pelham Close, Westham, Pevensey, pleaded guilty on January 25 this year to smashing the window, worth £137, at Flat 1, Hereford Court, Langney Rise, Eastbourne, on July 2, 2021.
Brighton magistrates ordered Pragnell to pay £137 in compensation to Eastbourne Homes Ltd.
The defendant must also comply with a 25-day rehabilitation order before March 27, 2023, and must also now comply with a drug rehabilitation order.
Pragnell also admitted the commission of a further offence while on a suspended sentence order made by Hastings magistrates on October 28, 2020.
Magistrates said imprisonment for the breach was not appropriate because of the “exceptional circumstances” of the case, namely the defendant keeps in touch with probation.
