JETHRO Lazenby had been released from jail just days before his death.

The 31-year-old’s father, rockstar Nick Cave, announced Jethro’s death in a statement yesterday.

Fashion model Jethro was found guilty of unlawful assault, after he physically attacked his mother Beau Lazenby in March, according to The Guardian.

His layer said Jethro, who lived in Melbourne, Australia, had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

He was jailed and released at the weekend.

In a statement, Nick, 64, said: “With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away.

“We would be grateful for family privacy at this time.”

Jethro’s death is the second family tragedy for The Bad Seeds musician, following the accidental death in 2015 of one of his twin sons Arthur, who was 15.

Arthur was found on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap in July 2015.

Members of the public tried to resuscitate him after he was found without any shoes or socks, but he died later at Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Veronica Hamilton-Deeley, senior coroner for Brighton, recorded a conclusion of accidental death.

Nick and his wife Susie, who lived in Brighton for many years, moved to LA after the city became “too sad” following Arthur’s death.

The pair now split their time between California and London.
