THE body of a man has been found in a stream.
Emergency services have closed New Road in Hellingly, East Sussex, after a man was found dead in the water.
The incident was first reported at around 11am today, officers attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Just after 11:10am on Saturday, May 14 officers responded to a report of a body in the water near to New Road, Hellingly.
“Officers attended the scene but the man unfortunately was pronounced dead at the scene.
“New Road is currently closed while emergency services remain at the scene."
The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner’s office has been informed.
