PIERS Morgan returned to his favourite Sussex pub as he posed for a picture with his dad yesterday.

In the image posted on Twitter and Instagram, they can be seen standing outside The Royal Oak pub in Newick, where Piers grew up.

In the post, Piers joked that his dad Glynne "looks younger than me".

He said: "My old man (who looks younger than me!) - he's a lifelong Spurs fan which explains the smug grin. #Newick."

Piers, who is an Arsenal fan, and Glynne enjoyed the FA Cup final at the pub in Newick.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter spent much of his childhood in Sussex, moving to Newick as a child and attending schools in both Chailey and Lewes.

He still owns a house in Newick and frequently visits The Royal Oak when he returns to the village.
