Crash on the A259 at Peacehaven
THE A259 is closed after a head on collision involving two vehicles.
The crash happened around 4.45pm on the A259 between Peacehaven and Newhaven.
It involved a grey Audi and white Ford Transit
Queues are currently building on the road as emergency services attend the scene.
Delays are stretching beyond Newhaven swing bridge almost to Denton, while queues are all the way back up to Sutton Avenue in Peacehaven.
It is unclear the extent of the injuries at the scene.
Pictures from the scene show the Audi in the middle of the road, while the van is partially off the road.
Brighton and Hove Buses are diverting via the A26 and A27 while the road is closed.
Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
