A rider had to be taken to hospital after falling off her horse on the South Downs.
The woman had been riding on the hills near Lewes at 10am today when she fell and suffered several injuries.
The emergency services helicopter was dispatched after South East Coast Ambulance Service decided it would be too difficult to reach the patient by land.
She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where she was receiving treatment today.
