Sixty firefighters tackled a blaze at a disused social club today.
Eight fire engines were called to the building in Tinsley Lane, Crawley, at 5.15pm where the fire had taken hold and had burst through the roof.
Fire crews had the blaze under control within the hour.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the building had been empty for several years and that squatters had been known to use it.
