If you were going for a coffee and a cake with a friend from out of town, where would you take them in Sussex?

“There’s this great little café which turns into a little bar, tucked away in a corner of The Lanes called Marwood Bar and Coffeehouse.

“It’s a really funky, rickety, small place with three floors to it. Outside they have a room where they’ve got a Bluetooth speaker where you can connect your phone, so whoever is in there can have control of the music.

“If you need somewhere to take someone on a date, Marwood is definitely the one.”

What is the best shop in Sussex?

“Snoopers Paradise. I used to spend so much time in there.

“Before festivals, we’d go in there and you could get cheap sunglasses and everything you need for a festival.

“I remember going in there for the first time and not realising how big it was. It’s literally huge.

“It’s hands down the coolest place to shopping.”

Whether it be for a concert, comedy or theatre, what is the best venue around?

“Just because of my history with it, I’d say The Arch.

“Concorde 2 has been really good – I’ve seen some really good bands there. But it’s not the same for drum and bass as it is for live music.

“For club nights, definitely The Arch.”

If you’re looking to escape the city, what is your favourite outdoors place to visit?

“Luckily, my mum lives in Worthing and my dad lives in Rottingdean, and they’re both two quite adjacent ways to go out the city.

“I used to go to Rottingdean loads as a kid and spend time on the beach there.

“Worthing is a slow version of Brighton, but we’ve still got the beach. It’s just nice to get away from Brighton, and it’s a lot quieter here which is nice.”

And lastly, whether it be for a drink or a sit-down meal, what is the best bar, pub or restaurant in Sussex?

“Hands down Brighton Spiegeltent when it’s around this time of year.

“It’s awesome – I’ve only been back down for five days, and I’ve been three days in a row.

“It feels like a mini festival. And every time I go down there I see someone I haven’t seen in years.”
