THE senior police officer in charge of the investigation into the murder of Billy Henham has paid tribute to the courage and bravery of his parents.
Detective Superintendent Alex Geldart of Sussex Police, the Senior Investigative Officer, said the student’s murder was a “senseless and tragic loss of life”.
The police officer’s comments come as the student’s murderers were jailed at Hove Crown Court for a total of 86 years.
The 24-year-old, from Henfield, was subjected to a “sustained and significant” fatal assault from punches, kicks and stamps.
